Die hervorragenden Analysen in diesem Band sind für die gegenwärtige Diskussion über die Rolle der Bundeswehr in Deutschland unverzichtbar.Der Band könnte dazu anregen ,statt gutmenschlicher politisch korrekter Friedensforschungsinstitute endlich ein Institut für strategische Studien an einer Hochschule in Deutschland zu etablieren.Die Abwesenheit deutscher Autoren in dem Buch belegt das deutsche Defizit ,die Bedeutung von zeitgemäßer,der neuen (?) Außenpolitik der Bundesrepublik entsprechender Operational Art jenseits transatlantischer Leerformeln zubestimmen.Der Beitrag über China ist ein politischer "Augenöffner",was aber in keiner Weise, abgesehen vielleicht von dem überwissenschaftlichen Beitrag über die britische Armee,die anderen Artikel des besprochenen weniger vorzüglich macht.
