A good mix of topology and differential geometry
I actually did not like this book as a first year grad student. The treatment of general topology is sufficient, but not the best (the author doesn't make any claims that it is either). I think this is a good book for those that are interested in getting into topology and also want to understand the relationship between topology and differential geometry. My research is starting to move in the direction of symplectic geometry and this book has been a great source for understanding differential
I like this book.
It's not an easy book by any means, but if you read it carefully and think about it, you'll surely understand, and I think you'll get most of what you need for topology in this one book. (At least I have no problem learning algebraic and arithmetic geometry)

Je ne vais pas commenter, pour le moment, le contenu de ce livre fondamental en mathématiques (de surcroît couvrant à la fois topologie et géométrie), mais la qualité de la reliure qui me semble de bonne facture. Un bel ouvrage de maths, qui fera plaisir à lire. J'avais quelque appréhension, suite à des commentaires négatifs relativement à la qualité de la reliure dans la collection Springer GTM.
