A great overview of a marvelous life

This excellent book summarizes in an informal, conversational style the remarkable life and achievements of American oceanographer and geophysicist Walter Munk, born in Vienna in 1917 and sent by his family to boarding school in New York at the age of 15 - and the rest is scientific history.
