About the Book
This text describes the statistcal behavior of complex systems and shows how the fractional calculus can be used to model the behavior. The discussion emphasizes physical phenomena whose evolution is best described using the fractional calculus, such as systems with long-range spatial interactions or long-time memory. The book gives general strategies for understanding wave propagation through random media, the nonlinear response of complex mater…

How to calculate with Fractional Operators.
This book is very well written. It gives detailed treatment of the mathematical and physical concepts needed to deal practically with applications of Fractal Operators.I think though one needs a certain amount of mathematical maturity and also prior familiarity with the ideas of fractal and fractional operators. So I think it does not fit well the scenario of the first year graduate student. All in all great book and highly recommended!
