This isn't my first introduction to linear algebra. Before reading this book I've read several notes on linear algebra, but everything started to click once I started reading this book. The exercises are well crafted - not too difficult but not too easy either. Importantly, every exercise is important and are used to solve other exercises. Professor Axler has crafted the exercises in such a way that every exercise is referenced somewhere. This book requires a significant investment of time and e

Personal Review of Linear Algebra Done Right
Coming from this prestigious editor, this book contains the very essence of linear algebra but explained in a very mathematical way. It’s great for undergraduates that aim for a more complex mathematical and yet, not so simple understanding. I recommend it highly to those who are looking for the most challenging mathematical approach. Great for undergraduate mathematicians and physics majors.
Awesome Linear Algebra book ever.
In my opinion, the best linear algebra book I have ever read. Bought to refresh the subject, it is reach of clear explanations and useful exercises. Among the other things, I found enlightening the eigenvalues and eigenspaces theory treated before (i.e. without) the determinants (left at the end of the book). You can probably find on the internet the article "Down With Deteminants" in which Axler, the author, goes in depth on this approach.
