I'm using this book for teaching magmatism related to plate tectonics in PG. Excellent due to its highly informative, systematic and well-ordered arrangement of the contents with well and good figures.

Clear, in depth Petrology text
Fantastic text. It's a shame it wasn't ever updated with another edition, but the info was more than enough for my grad level Igneous Petrology course. I highly recommend this to supplement any other textbook or on its own if you're enough of a nerd to read Petrology texts for fun. (No judgement from this nerd.)
Excellent technical book
Great book for anyone into the more technical side of igneous rocks.As a text book I used this during my degree but still enjoy reading it several years after. It is fairly specialised but contains a beautiful wealth of information. Beginners may want to start with a more basic book first to get the general idea but don't be put off!
