This is the book to have to begin programming COM servers with ATL. It has an excellent introduction and it's chapters on ATL and MFC are helpful on learning to use these support systems in COM. The included CD will help you get code to operate the examples quickly and get you up to speed.Unfortunately, the printed code is far too sparse to allow you to become expert with this much knowledge. Still, it's worth at least four stars and I'm glad to have it on my shelf to support my client's antiquated legacy code.
