4.0 out of 5 starsNice book with small error
Just read up to page 45 till now .. nice read. Will finish the book in another week depending on my time.I am having background of EE, so noticed one small but important error till now. In the chapter "Back to the Byte" (page 41), author mentioned Output Enable is made with AND gates. But, in that case, in disable condition, the outputs will be all 0s which will pull down other outputs when you connect the REGISTER to BUS. In real life the output enable is made off PASS transistors and acts as connect / disconnect switch to make the output into HIGH IMPEDANCE state (or disconnected state) in disable condition.

5.0 out of 5 starsAwesome book
For someone who is not computers or electronics or electrical background by education this book made the fundamentals of hardware architecture and functions so easy to understand.I have spent 16 years in industry in Mechanical Engineering and have awareness on control systems,A2D conversions and DSP.But after reading this book it made my understanding clear on microprocessor and now I am seriously thinking of finish my C language course. In short this book is awesome and inspiring.Kudos!!! to the author who brought this knowledge to wider audience.
