Mistake?
I am Alan P. Merriam's daughter. Valerie Merriam was my father's second wife for a brief period (2.5 years). I believe there has been a mistake. My father wrote this book in 1964 when Valerie was around 14 years old. Please take her name as a co-author off of this book. Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 starsGreat, classic work in EthnoMusicology
A classic in the field of EthnoMusicology. Glad it is available again, and in paperback form! (When I looked for this in 2005, you could only find used hardcovers from long ago available). Came in good time too. Thanks!
